Certificate in Professional Irish - Level 3 (NFQ)

Level 3 of the Certificate in Professional Irish is suitable for those who have previously studied the language and are able to communicate at a very basic level in Irish (they can greet people, for example, and introduce themselves).

The course is aimed at public sector employees who deal with the public on a regular basis and are required on occasion to provide a service through Irish. It seeks to give participants the confidence and language skills necessary to communicate through Irish at a basic level, both in the context of their work and in social situations.

The emphasis in the course is on the spoken language and on developing listening skills, but students also have some opportunities to read and to write the language.
